LATIMER PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of a meeting of Latimer Parish Council held on Monday 15th February 2010 at Ley Hill Memorial Hall at 7.15pm.

Present  G Sussum (Chairman)(GS), B Perrott (Vice Chairman)(BP), R Sanders (RS),C Lee (CL), K Platt (KP), Tricia Silverstone (TS), R Walter (Clerk)(RW)

 Presentation The meeting was preceded by a short presentation given by Paul O’Hare, Community Development Team Leader, Bucks Community Action. Priorities identified were roads and

Matters arising

  1. LHCC GS to suggest a meeting between Robin Carr and D Stowe on site
  2. Jasons Hill (Tree surgery) RS to email D Stowe, and cc GS/NB.
  3. LPC Website Clerk and RS to meet with Sally Kendall 3.3.10
  4. LAF Next meeting 3.3.10. KP unable to attend. NB to represent Latimer.
  5. NAG  Meeting on 12 Jan 2010 cancelled due to weather conditions
  6. Latimer Phone Box This is now owned by Latimer PC. KP to consult residents about maintenance and lighting
  7. Tylers Hill salt bin Yellow salt bins only are available. KP proposed yellow, seconded by BP. All agreed. Clerk to notify Mike Barber.
  8. Posts outside Shenley Cottage GS to speak with DS on 17 Feb. Also mention that residents of Greencroft are using school driveway with resulting mess, and concerns about caravan use at Terra Firma

i) All Councillors to respond to emails from A Derrick (Local Area Planning Workshop 17 March) and from R Smith (Winter gritting – views required)

ii) KP to consider Draft Parking & Enforcement Policy

Burial Ground

  1. Sub committee met on 10.2.10 to discuss increasing fees. Spreadsheet detailing comparative fees and proposed revised fees tabled for discussion. KP proposed acceptance of these fees from 1.4.10, seconded by BP. All agreed. To review in 12 months time.
  2. 21.6.10 meeting in St George’s Church Hall to commence at 6.45pm with site visit of Tylers Hill Burial Ground
  3. Skidmore: plot purchase deed form + copy signed
  4. Cheques received: £16 to add inscription to Fowler memorial; £106.50 (82.50 plot purchase + 24.00 memorial erection) for Skidmore plot purchase; £72.00 for full burial of C Murrell.
  5. Administration costs: Mrs Hill asked LPC to consider how her costs should be reimbursed. RS proposed that a cheque for £50 be presented to her to cover these for 2010, as per Councillors. Seconded by BP. All agreed.
  6. Mrs Hill is organising quotes for repair to registers, which need re-binding. Clerk to present at next meeting.
  7. KP asked Clerk to organise quote from P Empson to cut back tree in Burial Ground overhanging Tylers Hill Road, as lorries delivering to salt bin cannot pass.
  8. Latimer Parish Council kindly requested that the Clerk passed on its grateful thanks to Mrs Hill for her continuing hard work on its behalf.

Any Other Business

  1. GS briefed Councillors on police notice about cars driven around outer field of LHCC recently
  2. Tricia Silverstone has tendered her resignation from Latimer Parish Council after 8 years service. GS asked if she would stay until the Annual Meeting, which she kindly agreed to.
  3. KP briefed Councillors on SLR and that he will be issuing a newsletter with proposals for road naming in Latimer soon
  4. Buckingham Palace Garden Party invitation: all agreed B Perrott should be nominated
  5. Clerk to pass details of all street lamps to Eon
  6. LS unable to attend March meeting
